singledom as our natural resting state...

QuirkyAlone "Romantics, idealists, eccentrics, we inhabit singledom as our natural resting state. In a world where proms and marriage define the social order, we are, by force of our personalities and inner strength, rebels." a whole community celebrating quirkyness and aloneness.

i took the quirkyalone quiz:
How quirkyalone are you?
Your score was 118. Very quirkyalone:
Relatives may give you quizzical looks, and so may friends, but you know in your heart of hearts that you are following your inner voice. Though you may not be romancing a single person, you are romancing the world. Celebrate your freedom on National Quirkyalone Day, February 14th!

I scored 100, scott 102 - I am guessing the low end of our little group - but still categorized "very quirky".
I liked the category of quirkytogether, because it speaks to the "alone together" possibilities.
Also, thanks for finding this. I read the utne re-posted article ages ago, and thought it was brilliant, but then promptly forgot about it.

the alone together possibilities are good. i think you and scott are in no danger of becomming what they call on the quirkyalone forums "perkytogethers".

I scored a big 113, very quirkyalone.
I am not sure why, I thought all of my answers were very matter of fact and normal. (Except there was no "barf" option for the question about the JCrew couple.)
